Time for some more short term goals:
ART - Develope some jewelry for men. Carry on working with hinges in another locket or bracelet project.
Connect with
and other DA friends.
HEALTH - continue to STAY off of tobacco. Get more fresh air and be commited to
brutal core strengthening programme. OW!
$ - local employment, even if it's a McJob for 2 days a week.
SOCIAL - Visit my elders more. Listen and be encouraging to my youngers more.

Home Early
This year we didn't have much of a summer on the Wet Coast.
Although August was glorious and warmed the bones and put some colour and a freckle or two on my sun-thirsty skin...
It was all too short and I'm left with a season of yardwork to do in the rain.
Looking forward to going inward with creative time.
(Once the closet is cleaned out, the apples harvested and thanksgiving turkey cooked.)

Project for a Friend
So grateful to be able to work on this piece. I won't be seing my friend as often anymore because she's moved to the U.S.A. A little bit of me and a little bit of her in this necklace.

3 objects of meaning
Someone asked my to visualize the stuff I have on my desk in order to narrow things down to 3 objects on my desk that are special in some way so:
1-my FELCO snips their holster and belt. These I wear to work everyday. I also wear them when I'm off of work a lot out of habbit and because they're handy for other tasks.
2-the last piece of jewelry that I've finished. Just makes me feel good.
3-assorment of books,I know it's bad feng shui to have books in the bedroom but oh well: jewelry store catalogue, lapidary and silversmithing books, something by David Suzuki, the Medicine Wheel Garden, latest fiction my son has lent me, travel journal fr
